Safe Place for All
Creating a safe environment
Please have your pet up to date on vaccines!
For the safety of the groomer, your pet, the geriatric and youngling clients; your pet must have all his or her vaccines. Especially the following:
Dogs must have:
Bordetella (8 wks kennel Cough)
Rabies (16 wks)
Cats Must have:
FVRCP (8 wks Feline Tracheatis– Calicivirus-Panleukopenia virus)
Rabies (16 wks)
Puppies and Kittens
By 16 weeks their vaccine schedule should be set and complete; therefore they should be safe for their first nail trim or groom around the age of 14 weeks (3 mths) - 26 weeks (6mths)
I will make an exception for vaccines:
- Temporary exception, if and only when your vet recommends grooming at an earlier age where vaccines have not yet been applied.
- Permanent exception, if your vet suggests avoiding vaccination due to pet's medical condition such as : history of severe vaccine reaction

Safe Place for All
Creating a safe environment: No Flea baths
Rather then take your money for a task that is preventable, I encourage you to talk to your veterinarian about Flea, Parasite, and Tick prevention products.
It is much safer and cheaper, then having to give them a flea bath every time the fleas reproduce on your pet.
Fact : Flea baths are a temporary solution which kill only the adult fleas, but not the next generation . Plus it does not kill ticks. The majority of flea bath products can be toxic to some pets.
Fleas and ticks if not prevented can become an infestation. They can remain hidden within a facility, until they find a host to breed on. Please keep your pet and others safe.
Oral prevention is recommended. However If your pet is on topical prevention please make sure it is applied by a vet . If you applied it yourself make sure it was applied directly to the skin where instructed. Make sure the area where it was applied to is not touched, or exposed to water for at least a week so that the prevention is effective .
If your pet has ticks, fleas or parasites have them treated by your vet prior to booking an appointment.
Pets will not be accepted if they have fleas or parasites and are not on Preventative care!
Thank for your understanding and cooperation.

Safe Place for All
Creating a safe environment: Spay and Neutering.
It is preferred and encouraged that your pet is spayed or neutered. Consult your veterinarian of when to neuter your pet. Although the age is commonly around 6 months, it may differ depending on the size of your pet.
Spaying and neutering is encouraged for the following reasons:
Pets are more tolerant. They are easier to calm down and train for the grooming process when their not distracted by their hormones 24/7.
In females, it prevents uterine cancer or infection, mammary cancer as well as urinary infection as they age .
In males, it aids with development of social skills, prevents testicular cancer and urinary behavior problems in the future.
Prevents unwanted kittens or puppies that end up in shelters, or painfully die on the street.
Whatever you decide is best for your pet. If you prefer them to stay sexually active, I respect your choice as a pet owner, and will not deny your pet the comfort of being clean and groomed.
